Dr. Ryan Bliss is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand, wrist, and elbow surgery. He provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment to improve function and reduce pain. He focuses on complex trauma and reconstruction of the upper extremity; injuries to soft tissues including nerves, tendons, and ligaments; wrist arthroscopy; and elective treatment of nerve compressions and hand arthritis.
Dr. Bliss graduated from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency at Louisiana State University of New Orleans, Dr. Bliss was further trained in Hand and Upper Extremity surgery at the New York University Hospital of Joint Disease as the Littler Eaton Hand Fellow. While in his fellowship, he completed a Microsurgery course at Columbia University, NY.
Dr. Bliss is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Medical Association, Louisiana State Medical Society and Louisiana Orthopedic Association.
