Michelle Shipe has been named Safety Director at Lane Regional Medical Center. She is responsible for all safety, risk management, and HIPAA privacy programs, including Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Life Safety compliance.
Michelle has more than 15 years of management and has held multiple positions at Lane since 2001, including Secretary to Department Director, Safety Coordinator, and Environmental Services Director.
She has been involved in many committees and teams at the hospital, including Strive for 5, Environmental Rounding, Environment of Care, Emergency Preparedness, Patient Satisfaction, and Furnishing Acquisitions. Michelle was the January 2006 Lane Employee of the Month.

Michelle and her husband Bob live in Amite, LA with their daughter. She has three children and three grandchildren. Her personal interests include crafting and spending time with family.
