Dr. Clayton Brown Retires

On behalf of Lane Regional Medical Center and the Medical Executive Committee, please join us in wishing Dr. Clayton Brown congratulations on his retirement!

Dr. Brown’s initial appointment date at Lane was April 1, 1981. He has been an amazing leader to us all with a long and successful career in Internal Medicine over the last 40 years.

He served two full terms on the Medical Executive Committee and as Chief of Staff starting in the early 1980s and again in the mid-2000s.  He also served as Medical Staff Advisor to the Quality Council, as Chair of the ICU/Medicine/Cardiopulmonary Committee, and on several other medical staff committees.

Dr. Brown is now considered as an Honorary Staff Physician. An Honorary Staff member consists of practitioners recognized for their outstanding reputations, their noteworthy contributions to the health and medical sciences, and their previous long-standing service to the hospital.

Honorary Staff status is reserved for practitioners retired from medical practice and who served as a member of the hospital medical staff in good standing for at least 25 years.

January 1, 2022 marked the start of the next chapter for Dr. Brown. We wish Dr. Brown all the happiness and joy retirement can bring!
