August 1–7 is World Breastfeeding Week, and Lane Regional Medical Center is proud to join the global celebration by recognizing the powerful role of breastfeeding in promoting healthier babies, stronger families, and a more sustainable future.
This year, we reaffirm our commitment to providing families with the tools and support they need for successful breastfeeding. At Lane RMC, our services include:
- Certified lactation consultants
- One-on-one feeding support
- In-person and virtual breastfeeding classes
- Safe, private lactation spaces for nursing mothers
Thanks to these efforts, 60% of babies born at Lane in 2025 received breastmilk during their hospital stay, and our exclusive breastfeeding rates have increased by 10% over the past two years. Our lactation consultant has completed 178 individual lactation encounters so far in 2025—a testament to the ongoing need and impact of these services.
Upcoming Class:
Join our in-person breastfeeding class on August 30th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Lane RMC Board Room.
