Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dr. Gould graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University, earned his medical degree at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, Louisiana, and completed his residency training in family medicine at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
During medical school, Dr. Gould was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) as a junior. He is currently a member of AOA, as well as a member of the American Medical Association and Louisiana State Medical Society. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
