Dr. Elbourne received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport in 2002. After completing residency training at LSU, he founded Bayou Regional Women's Clinic in 2006. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Elbourne's mission for Bayou Regional Women's Clinic is to provide the highest-quality individualized care for the women of his community and surrounding areas. Dr. Elbourne feels that he and his patients are a team when it comes to their healthcare and treatment. He is trained to manage routine as well as nonroutine OB/GYN needs using traditional and minimally invasive techniques.
He has been published many times on topics ranging from the mortality of women to autoimmune diseases. He received the prestigious Joseph Barnhill Memorial Award for Chemistry, an LSU Board of Supervisors Scholarship and other awards. Dr. Elbourne served in various roles on the Lane Regional Medical Center staff and now sits on the Board of Commissioners.
Dr. Elbourne was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and now calls Zachary home. He loves spending time with family and enjoys LSU sports, cooking, exercising and fishing. He is heavily involved in his church, First Baptist Zachary, is on the praise and worship team and has participated in medical missions to Nicaragua.
