Dr. Abdullah Munir joined CIS in 2023 as an interventional cardiologist in Zachary.
Dr. Munir attended medical school in Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, New York, where he was named chief resident. He completed fellowships in general cardiology and interventional cardiology at the same location, and was named chief fellow.
Dr. Munir is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation and has level II training in cardiac computed tomography. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, and the Society of Vascular Medicine.
