Lane Regional Medical Center Receives Birth Ready Designation

Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative (LaPQC) has awarded Lane Regional Medical Center the Birth Ready Designation. This designation celebrates the hospital’s improved perinatal health outcomes, the result of implementing clinical practices to promote safe, equitable, and dignified birth for all.

Hospitals receiving the designation undergo a rigorous application and review process by LaPQC. Five areas of requirement include participation in collaborative learning, health disparity and patient partnership, policies and procedures, structures and education, and outcome and process measures.

“We are proud to receive the Birth Ready Designation,” says Dawn Fuller, director of Women’s Services at Lane.  “Lane is committed to providing compassionate, family friendly, and specialized healthcare to every patient, every time.”
