Lane Honors October MVP – Deidra Johnson for Outstanding Compassion and Care

Lane Regional Medical Center is proud to announce Deidra Johnson, Surgical Technician in the Labor and Delivery Department, as our October MVP.

Deidra was selected from 52 nominations submitted by peers across the organization. Her kindness and initiative in helping a patient’s family during a challenging time was a shining example of Lane’s mission in action.

One nomination read: “Deidra came to me, expressing concern over a couple that she had seen waiting all day in the lobby. She said she spoke with them and discovered that they were waiting on Medicaid transportation and had not eaten all day. She asked for permission to go purchase food for them while they waited. She provided a meal and an updated list of community resources to them and showed the absolute meaning of going the extra mile! Deidra – I know you truly blessed them! Thank you for being the shining example of care and support that we want Lane to be known for!”

Deidra’s actions reflect Lane’s commitment to patient-centered care, compassion, and community service.
