Lane Regional Medical Center invites the community to attend the 14th Annual Veterans Day & Flag Raising Program on Friday, November 11, at 7:30 a.m. The ceremony will be held at the Regional Veterans Park on the hospital campus. The annual event is proudly sponsored by the Bank of Zachary.

Program Highlights

Master of Ceremonies: Darrin Spears, Chairman of the Regional Veterans Park Association Board
Guest Speaker: Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel LJ Baker, Chief Strategic Initiative Officer, Lane Regional Medical Center
Flag Detail: Cadets from the Zachary High Army Junior ROTC, led by Lt. Col. Spears, joined by members of the local Boy Scout Troop and Cub Scout Pack
Patriotic Music: Performed by the Zachary High School Band and Choir, under the direction of Donnie Alexander and Cierra Fountain
Special Tribute: Trumpeter Ryan Venable will perform Call to Colors and Taps

Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Veterans Day Parade Immediately Following the Ceremony

After the Flag Raising Program, the City of Zachary, along with the Regional Veterans Park Association, will host the second annual Veterans Day Parade—a community-wide salute to those who have served.

Participation Opportunities

Veterans: You are invited to ride in antique cars. A sign-up form is available here for those who wish to participate.
Antique Vehicle Owners: Individuals who would like to drive veterans in the parade are also encouraged to sign up.
