Allyson Bennett Named Quality Resources Director

Allyson Bennett, BSN, RN, has been named Director of Quality Resources at Lane Regional Medical Center.

 

Allyson is responsible for the hospital’s accreditation process to ensure high standards of patient care as set forth by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations. She also oversees all aspects of hospital quality, including core measures, patient satisfaction, infection control, and risk management.

 

A native of Zachary, Allyson graduated from Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has more than 29 years of health care experience and is certified in Nursing Professional Development.

 

In 2020, Allyson was named Clinical Nurse Educator of the Year by the Louisiana State Nurses Association, in 2013 she received the Baton Rouge District Nurses Association’s Celebrate Nursing Award, and in 2002 she was named as Lane’s Employee of the Year.

 

Allyson is a member of several nursing and academic professional organizations, including Baton Rouge District Nurses Association, Louisiana State Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and Association for Nursing Professional Development.

 

Prior to this position, Allyson was Director of Staff Development at Lane where she was instrumental in promoting quality improvement which directly impacted patient care. She is currently a member of Lane’s Shared Governance and Nursing Practice councils, and serves on numerous hospital-based committees, including Cardiovascular Care, Physician Advisory, and Product Standardization & Value Analysis.

Allyson and her husband, Chip, live in Zachary and have two children, Gage, age 20 and Abby age 16. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and watching her children perform at band events.
