Lane Home Health Celebrates November as National Home Care Month

Lane Home Health

Lane Home Health joins the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) in celebrating November as National Home Care Month.  The theme for this year is “Home Care Delivers Freedom.”

Physicians agree that care provided by licensed home health nurses and therapists is the best alternative to lengthy hospital stays or emergency room visits.

“Home care allows a patient to receive vital medical care in the comfort of their own home,” says Lori Hopwood, RN, Director of Lane Home Health. “By transferring the services from a medical facility to home, Lane Home Health offers patients the best, most personalized care available.”

“We recognize that patients have the right to choose when selecting a home health provider,” says Hopwood. “We also appreciate those who already trust Lane Home Health with their care and invite others in need of home care services to simply ask their physician for a referral to Lane.”

An affiliate of Lane Regional Medical Center, Lane Home Health has provided in-home health care since 1984. Currently in its 33rd year of operation, Lane Home Health is one of the longest standing home health agencies in the greater Baton Rouge area.  The not-for-profit agency provides patient care within a 50-mile radius of its location at 6300 Main Street in Zachary.

Lane Home Health provides a full range of services such as pre and post-operative care, diabetic management, cardiac home care, IV antibiotic therapy, pain management, wound care, personal care, medical social services and physical, speech and occupational therapy.
