Donna Kline Appointed to Lane Board of Commissioners

Local educator Donna Kline was recently appointed by the Metropolitan Council of East Baton Rouge Parish to the Board of Commissioners at Lane Regional Medical Center.  Kline will a complete the remaining three years of departing board member Jason St. Romain’s four-year term.

A native of Opelousas, Kline had more than 36 years of experience as an educator and administrator during her career with the Zachary Community School System before retiring in 2015.  She received both her Bachelor of Education degree and Master’s in School Administration from Louisiana State University.

Kline currently serves on the board of Heritage Ranch, a local Christian children’s home, and is a longtime member of Country Classics Book Club.  She also recently joined the Study Club of Baton Rouge.

Kline and her husband, Billy, live in Zachary.  They have three grown sons and a two-year-old grandson, William. She is a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and volunteers for many community activities and organizations, including Relay for Life, Zachary Community Schools and Heritage Ranch.  She also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.

“As a resident of Zachary for the past 27 years and a former resident of Clinton in East Feliciana Parish, I can truly say that Lane has served my family and friends well. I've watched it grow from a small hospital into a regional medical center that serves an increasingly growing and vibrant area north of Baton Rouge. I look forward to being part of Lane's strategic plans in continuing to provide quality health care for our region.”

The Lane Regional Medical Center board of commissioners is comprised of nine board members.   In addition to Kline, current board members include chair Joan Lansing, vice chair Gaynell Young, and members at large Jordan Charlet, Keith Elbourne, MD, Patricia Gauthier, Jimmy Jackson, Mayor Harold Rideau, and Mark Thompson.
