Intensive Outpatient Program Baton Rouge How it Works

Lane's Intensive Outpatient Program, IOP, is designed to help patients who do not require hospitalization but who can benefit from a structured, therapeutic group setting. IOP addresses both mental and emotional needs in a supportive and caring environment.

IOP may be used as an initial point of entry into care, as a step up from routine outpatient services or as a step down from inpatient care.

Patients must be willing to commit to at least three hours of care per day, and treatment typically begins with four days per week then declines as the patient improves. It can be used to treat mental health conditions or specialize in the treatment of co-occurring mental disorders.

Anyone may contact us directly, such as yourself, family members, friends, clergy, workers at assisted living/group home facilities and retirement communities, physicians and behavioral health professionals.

A confidential assessment is scheduled to determine if this program is right for you. Needs and goals are then established and an individual treatment plan designed. Participants receive group therapy daily and individual/family therapy as needed.
