Dr. John Wilkinson is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic where he specializes in Hand, Wrist, Elbow and Microvascular Surgery.
Dr. Wilkinson is a native of West Baton Rouge and attended Catholic High School. He went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from LSU and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he graduated within the top of his class and received the Alumni Award for Excellence in Anatomy. He completed his orthopaedic residency training at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and further specialized in Orthopaedic Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Wilkinson is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending time in the duck blind, tree stand or out on the water fishing. Like many of his patients, he is passionate about LSU athletics, cooking and spending quality time with good friends and family, particularly his wife, young son and two dogs.
