Alessandra Cashio Richardson, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in the diagnosis and management of gastrointestinal conditions. She brings a strong background in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and urgent care, along with a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Alessandra earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from LSU in Baton Rouge. Before joining Lane Gastroenterology, she cared for patients in a variety of fast-paced clinical settings, including AFC Urgent Care in Houston, the Emergency Department at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, and most recently in family practice, occupational medicine, and emergency medicine roles across Louisiana.
She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and DOT physicals, and she speaks conversational Spanish. Alessandra is committed to ensuring that every patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their care plan.
Outside of work, Alessandra enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. Her hobbies include feeding her chickens, making sourdough bread, boating, traveling, shopping, reading, and enjoying time with family and friends.
