ZACHARY, La. – The Lane Foundation will host its first annual Match Day on March 16, a community-wide day of giving to support the Baby Lane Sleep & Breastfeeding Support Program at Lane Regional Medical Center.
Funds raised during Match Day will directly benefit the Baby Lane program, which provides essential newborn safety and breastfeeding support resources to every family delivering at Lane. The initiative addresses the two leading modifiable factors in infant morbidity: unsafe sleep environments and suboptimal breastfeeding support.
Each participating family receives a Graco Pack‘n Play portable crib, a Boppy nursing pillow, a newborn onesie, a burp cloth, and comprehensive safe sleep and breastfeeding education materials. By removing financial barriers and providing hands-on support, the program promotes maternal confidence and strengthens infant health outcomes from day one.
Thanks to generous community partners, donations made on Match Day will be matched dollar-for-dollar while matching funds are available — doubling the impact of every gift.
