Detecting breast cancer at its earliest stages significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery. However, various factors often hinder women from seeking routine check-ups. These may include concerns about time constraints, fear of potential diagnoses, or a lack of awareness regarding available resources.
Lane Regional Medical Center is committed to providing accessible and affordable healthcare to all women, regardless of their insurance status. As part of this commitment, the Center for the Louisiana Breast & Cervical Health Program (LBCHP) offers free mammograms to uninsured, underinsured, lower-income women in Louisiana.
The LBCHP aims to prevent unnecessary disease, disability, and premature death by providing quality breast and cervical cancer screenings at no cost to eligible women. To qualify for the program, women must meet age, income, and insurance status guidelines. Our screening providers determine patients' eligibility for participation in LBCHP, ensuring every woman has access to the care needed to maintain optimal breast health.
Lane OB/GYN is dedicated to ensuring that every woman receives the highest quality care and support for her breast health needs. We understand the importance of routine maintenance in the early detection and prevention of breast cancer, and we strive to empower every patient to take proactive steps toward optimal health. With our state-of-the-art facilities, compassionate staff, and commitment to personalized care, we are here to support women every step of the way. At Lane, we believe that working together can achieve healthier, happier lives for all.
